Respite, Day Centre, and Activities for Adults

Our day activities for adults with autism are designed with the mental health of both the participants and their families in mind.

The program was created for adults with autism who have aged out of the school system, (21 years old in Quebec) and are not able to take part in vocational training or to have a job. Many are not able to stay at home without a full-time caregiver.

Our day program offers a safe and stimulating enviorment. Parents can continue their careers while their adult child takes part in activities which help to promote independence and social participation as well as forming friendships, developing a sense of belonging, and breaking isolation.

A mix of social, creative and physical activities are offered each week. Outdoor activities, local excursions, community garden, arts and crafts, dance, yoga, music, cooking workshops, board games, puzzles, peer socializing, or simply just relaxing.

Having a place a safe place to spend the day while the parent or caregiver goes to work, to an appointment, or simply have a day to themselves, helps keep life balanced for all.
